show isis


Displays general system-level information about the IS-IS process running on this router.

Syntax: show isis

Description: Displays general information about IS-IS.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive and privileged.

Example: In the following example, the show isis command displays information about IS-IS when two areas are configured:

router#show isis

The following table describes the fields in the display:

Field Description

ISIS process tag:

The name given to the ISIS process with the router isis command.

System ID

The ID portion of the last NET configured with the net command.

NET

The values of each NET configured on the system with the net command.

Maximum number of areas:

Maximum number of IS-IS areas defined on this router, configured using the max-areas command.

Number of manual areas

The number of areas and the area portions of each NET configured on the system with the net command.

Number of active area addresses

Areas learned from an adjacent router or areas not set with the net command and have active IP addresses.

ISIS Level

The routing level at which this router operates. The value can be Level-1, Level-2 or Level 1-2.

ISIS is enabled on:

Lists the number of interfaces on which IS-IS is configured with the ip router isis tag command.

Distance

Administrative distance applied to IS-IS routes.

Maximum paths per route

Maximum number of parallel routes to a destination that are installed in the routing table.

Number of SPF runs

Number of times the SPF function has run for Level-1 and Level-2 adjacencies.
