show ip community-list


Displays all defined community lists or one specified community list.

Syntax: show ip community-list [list-name]

list-name

Name of a community list.

Use the show ip community-list command with no keyword to display the defined community lists.

Use the show ip community-list command with the list-name keyword to display the specified community-list.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive and privileged.

Example: The following is sample output from the show ip community-list command:

router#show ip community-list

Community list bob :

permit

Community list fred :

deny

Community list margaret :

deny no-export

Community list mary :

permit 0:34, no-export, local-as

Community list sally :

permit 0:90

Community list vern :

permit no-advertise

The following table describes the fields in the display:

Field Description

Community list

Name of configured community list.

permit

Routes that match the match clauses are redistributed according to the conditions defined by the set clauses.

deny

Routes that match the match clauses are denied access.

community number

Number of community whose routes are permitted or denied. Valid values for community number include:

  • Integer from 1 to 4294967295. You can define a single number or a series of numbers separated by a space.

  • no-export - Do not advertise this route outside a BGP confederation boundary.

  • no-advertise - Do not advertise this route to any peers.

  • local-as - Do not advertise this route to external peers.
